37th Annual NL Folk Festival
Bowring Park, St. John's
August 9, 10, and 11, 2013

A message from the Folk Arts Society President ....

... "The Folk Arts Society is excited to bring this year's
37th Annual Newfoundland and Labrador Folk Festival
to Bowring Park.  We are delighted to once again partner
with the City of St. John's and our many sponsors to bring
this outstanding cultural event to the people of the province.
We look forward to the revitalization of Bannerman Park;
to returning to the park that has been our home for so long;
and to staging our world class folk festival for many years to come."

– John Drover (President NLFAS)

  • The Bowring Park Foundation was established on April 18, 1995, as a not-for-profit organization under the patronage of Derrick Bowring, a relative of Sir Edgar Bowring.  Sir Edgar donated the park land to the City of St. John's in 1911 on behalf of Bowring Brothers Ltd. on their 100th anniversary of commerce in Newfoundland.
