The ‘Explore Bowring Park’ mobile app, created by Battery Radio, is a free GPS-based app that guides visitors around the park to various ‘hot spots.” Each hot spot has a story to tell. Some share stories about the park’s history and heritage while others uncover fascinating anecdotes. Monkeys, trains, swimming in the river, playing Conkers and the Dickie Dee Ice Cream Man are just some of the stories that can be heard either while in the park or virtually at home. Each story is complimented with background sound effects relevant to the location and narrative.
