Fully Accessible Playground & Splash Pad  –  2009

On October 15, 2009, the City of St. John’s first Barrier Free Playground and the Splash Pad were officially opened in Bowring Park.  This project was one of the initiatives from the 2005 Bowring Park Master Plan which focused on the preservation, restoration and development of the Park’s landscape.

These facilities have added greatly to the park.  It is always pleasant to see children’s smiling faces there and to hear their peals of laughter.
